This trailer tent camper is the Roof Tent Camper 85, our largest ramp-loading camper. Supplied without a tent, it has an adjustable frame for your own roof tent above a big 8ft x 5ft body with a rear loading ramp, so bikes and wheeled kit roll straight in.
About the Roof Tent Camper 85
The Apache Roof Tent Camper 85 Ramp Trailer is the largest in Apache’s roof tent camper range, offering an 8ft x 5ft bed size, spacious interior, and rooftop tent compatibility. With a robust galvanised steel build, rear chequer plate loading ramp, and adjustable prop stands, it’s engineered for stability, storage, and off-grid adventure. Designed and built in the UK, it’s fully approved for UK and EU road use.
Note: Please note: the roof tent itself isn’t included. We’ve designed this trailer to be ready for a TentBox or any compatible roof tent — you’ll just need to bring your own from your preferred retailer. (We also stock TentBox roof tents.)

Why a trailer tent camper works so well
A roof tent on a trailer gives you a proper raised bed without bolting anything to your car. Pitch the trailer, unhitch, and the car is free for day trips, the beach or a pub supper. The trailer body underneath is a lockable, weatherproof store for chairs, cooking kit, bedding and bikes, so the boot isn’t crammed every time you go away.
The external roof-tent frame on Apache campers is adjustable lengthways, so it suits a wide range of roof tents, not just one brand. The body sits on a galvanised steel chassis with a phenolic-topped steel floor, and it’s all built to be towed by an ordinary family car.

Think about how many people are sleeping, how much kit you carry and what your car can tow. Smaller bodies are easier to manoeuvre and store at home; larger bodies swallow more kit. How tall is the trailer tent camper when towing?
The external heights with and without the tent are listed in the specifications above. Check them against your garage or driveway gate.
Is the storage box lockable?
Yes. The rear opening can be secured, and we recommend a hitch lock and wheel clamp when you’re on site.
The trailer tent camper is available for free collection from Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove.
Delivery and collection
Delivery is charged by postcode at checkout: £95 across Worcestershire and the West Midlands, £149 to the rest of England, Wales and southern Scotland, and £299 to £399 for the Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland. Collection from our yard at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove is free, and we’ll hitch it up and check the lights with you before you leave.
