Why carry the right spare
A trailer puncture on the hard shoulder is stressful enough without discovering your car’s spare won’t fit. Trailer wheels have their own size, stud pattern and load rating, so carrying a matching spare means you can be back on the road in minutes.
Check your tyre pressures before every trip and look for cracking on the sidewalls, especially on trailers that stand for long periods. Old tyres can look fine and still fail under load.

Fitting and compatibility
Check the product details above against your trailer before ordering. If you’re unsure, email us your trailer make, model and size, or a photo, and we’ll confirm it’s the right part. Many Apache parts also suit similar trailers from other makers, and the GOV.UK guide to towing with a car is a useful refresher on keeping your trailer legal.

Care and maintenance
Trailer parts last longest when they are kept clean and checked regularly. Rinse off road salt and mud after winter use, look for corrosion, cracks or loose fixings before each trip, and replace anything worn before it fails on the road. A few minutes of checks at home saves a lot of hassle at the side of the road.
Store spare parts somewhere dry, and keep fixings and small items together so they are easy to find when you need them. If you are unsure whether something needs replacing, send us a photo and we will give you an honest opinion.
