Description
This box trailer with roof top tent frame is the AquaOverlander 84, supplied without a tent. The 8ft length suits long kit such as paddleboards, and the raised frame leaves the bed free below the tent. Add your own roof tent and you have a complete overland setup.

About the AquaOverlander 84
A rugged, low-profile off-road adventure trailer designed for overlanding. Fitted with the integrated roof tent mounting frame and loaded with practical features, it’s built for durability, stability, and comfort on extended journeys. The roof tent mounts on a raised frame, leaving the full load bed below clear to store kayaks, paddleboards and other outdoor equipment.
Adjustable roof-tent frame: the external frame adjusts length-ways, so it fits a wide range of roof tents — not just one brand.

Why a box trailer with roof top tent works so well
A roof tent on a trailer gives you a proper raised bed without bolting anything to your car. Pitch the trailer, unhitch, and the car is free for day trips, the beach or a pub supper. The trailer body underneath is a lockable, weatherproof store for chairs, cooking kit, bedding and bikes, so the boot isn’t crammed every time you go away.
The external roof-tent frame on Apache campers is adjustable lengthways, so it suits a wide range of roof tents, not just one brand. The body sits on a galvanised steel chassis with a phenolic-topped steel floor, and it’s all built to be towed by an ordinary family car.
Great for
- Weekend camping and festivals
- Touring holidays where you move every few days
- Wild camping trips and overland routes on good tracks
- Families who want the car free once they arrive

Spare wheels and wheel brackets are available for every box trailer with roof top tent we build.
Choosing your camper setup
Think about how many people are sleeping, how much kit you carry and what your car can tow. Smaller bodies are easier to manoeuvre and store at home; larger bodies swallow more kit. If you already own a roof tent, the without-tent version lets you fit your own. The GOV.UK guide to towing with a car sets out licence and weight rules, and our team can help you match the trailer to your car.
