Description
This 8×4 secure box trailer is the Cube Mini Xtra Secure 84. It uses a rear door rather than a ramp, which gives a tight seal, and adds chequer plate cladding and a padlock box for extra security. The 8ft length takes long loads flat.
About the Cube Mini Xtra Secure 84
Apache Cube Mini Xtra Secure — heavy-duty chequer plate body with a high-security padlock lock box on the rear door.
The Cube Mini Xtra Secure 84 is the hardened, security-focused version of our compact Cube Mini 84. The aluminium composite body is replaced with tough, heavy-duty chequer plate aluminium throughout — sides, front, roof and rear door — and a shipping-container-style padlock lock box which secures the rear door. Same compact enclosed box design, interior mesh cage and heavy-duty galvanised chassis as our standard Apache Cube Mini range.

Why the 8×4 secure box trailer is built differently
The Xtra Secure range is aimed at people who leave a trailer loaded, often overnight and often somewhere they can’t keep an eye on it. The body is clad in chequer plate rather than just composite panels, and a fitted padlock box shrouds the padlock so it can’t easily be attacked with bolt croppers. It’s the same galvanised chassis and phenolic-topped steel floor as the rest of the Cube family underneath.
That extra protection adds a little weight compared with a standard Cube, so it’s worth checking your car’s towing limit. For most estate cars and SUVs it isn’t an issue.

No trailer is theft-proof, but layers help. Use the padlock box with a closed-shackle padlock, add a hitch lock and a wheel clamp, and park with the door or ramp against a wall where you can. What padlock should I use with the 8×4 secure box trailer?
A closed-shackle or disc padlock that fits inside the padlock box gives the best protection, as there’s very little for a cutting tool to grab.
Does the 8×4 secure box trailer need a special licence?
No. It’s within the limits most full car licence holders can tow, as long as your vehicle is rated for the weight.
Can I add shelving or ply lining?
Yes. Ply lining and fitted toolboxes are available as extras, and many customers add their own racking inside.
Delivery and collection
Delivery is charged by postcode at checkout: £95 across Worcestershire and the West Midlands, £149 to the rest of England, Wales and southern Scotland, and £299 to £399 for the Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland. Collection from our yard at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove is free, and we’ll hitch it up and check the lights with you before you leave.
